(about 50 km from Nouan Le Fuzelier) Biggest château of the Renaissance period, being at the same time a model and a symbol of its time with its 440 rooms. Built by François 1er and properly finished by Louis XIV. Not to be missed: the rooftop terraces and the majestuous double spiral staircase attributed to Leonardo de Vinci. (about 50 km from Nouan Le Fuzelier) It is known as the most magnificently furnished château. It was used as a model to draw the Moulinsart château for the famous comic strip Tintin. You can visit the flower and agricultural gardens and go for a nice cruise on the canal.

(about 45km from Nouan Le Fuzelier) It is one of the oldest cities in France. Situated along the Loire banks, it possesses a History full of events. Joan of Arc, who liberated Orleans from the British oppression in 1429 remains the heroin of the city.
(about 25km from Nouan Le Fuzelier) Built in the 16th century, this private little castle is surrounded by moats and by a 40 ha park. Freedom to visit the interior which is fully furnished. Activities for the whole family are possible in certain rooms. Inside and outside, games are installed and even more are organised in July and August.

François 1er had first chosen it to build a huge castle (which was finally built in Chambord). In the museum of Sologne, settled in ancient watermills above the Sauldre canal, you will discover the History of this province, and different aspects of its culture and traditions.
(about 65km from Nouan le Fuzelier) It is a unique experience to be at the same time on water and on a bridge which is itself standing above water. It allows boats to pass above the Loire River and avoid the navigation problems related to it. Built from 1890 to 1894, with its 663m lenght, it is the longest metal bridge in Europe, and was the longest in the world until the beginning of this century.

Stroll around the narrow streets and discover the 400 timber framed houses, fantastic 14th century private hotels and Bourges impressive cathedral, not forgetting the superb Jacques Coeur Palace.
(about 90km from Nouan Le Fuzelier) This famous castle is also called «Château des Dames » because, since its construction in 1513, it has been embellished and protected by women. It is partly built above the Cher River, and this originality makes it particularly charmfull. The numerous rooms have got peculiar pieces of furniture, tapestries and paintings. The gardens around the castle add elegance to the whole area.
